The Electricity Retailers' Association, NZ, the organisation behind Energymate, has produced a new online resource for consumers who may be finding it difficult to pay their electricity bill. It introduces sources of support and ways consumers can find out more online.
The resource covers a wide range of available support options. Some of these come from the big companies that generate electricity and/or sell it to consumers. Others are provided by the government or community organisations.
You are welcome to download and share Having trouble paying your power bill? as widely as you like, or you could add it to the resources you share with consumers in hardship.
